Habranthus martinezii
“Rain Lily”
An easy to grow relative of Amaryllis, this spicy bulb is native to northern Argentina & boasts deep purple throated, trumpety masses of soft pink blooms with white interiors. Extra credit points for striking golden anthers & sweet grassy foliage! Makes marvelous cut flowers, too. Bloom time is Spring to early-Summer if you’re living on the East Coast or in the south, here in California it busts out the blooms in Winter, maybe even late-Fall depending on when the rains start back up. Growing to a sweet 12-18” tall & wide, it multiplies over time forming a nice sized clump. Pretty in pots!
