Lippia dulcis
“Aztec Sweet Herb”
Traditionally used as a natural sweetner & medicinal herb in its native Mexico, the Aztecs used it to ease coughs, colds, bronchitis & asthma. Easier to grow than Stevia, this trailing groundcover is perfect for hanging baskets & containers. Spicy scented, 2” leaves are intensely sweet & can be used in teas or fruit salads. To 1-2’ high, it spreads via runners. Delightfully unique .5” daisy-ish, white flowers are dome shaped, eventually extending out into a cylinder Spring through Summer. Very cool! Can tolerate shade, but is happier with more sun.
