Sphaeralcea grossulariifolia
“Gooseberryleaf Globemallow”

This lover of hot, dry, sunny spots hails from the gravelly, well drained slopes, valleys & foothills of AZ, CA, ID, NM, NV, OR, UT & WA. Peachy orange, mini-hollyhock shaped, five petal blooms with lemony yellow centers appear mid Spring through late Fall. Pretty greenish grey, deeply lobed leaves are covered in tiny white hairs (canescence) along with a tough taproot & vigorous root system mean this Globemallow is ultra drought tolerant. Stems have a woody base. Makes a great addition to any native, succulent or rock garden. To 2-3’ tall & 2’ wide.
