Extra EARLY & extra EASY! ‘Nutmeg Extra Early’ is a sweet light green fleshed medium melon that matures so swiftly that even we fog-land folks stand a chance at getting them to sweeten up right. Bears four to five, funky substantially netted, 2-3 pound, slightly oval melons per vine & has a distinct pleasant fragrance. In general, you should give melons the warmest spot you can & RICH SOIL! Horticulturist Fearing Burr first noted this fine melon in 1863 declaring, “It is of most delicious excellence... one of the best.”
