Titanopsis calcarea
Wacky wart-like tubercles cover the spoon shaped leaves of this freaky little clumping succulent. Bright orangey yellow 3/4” wide blooms appear in late Fall & Winter. Titanopsis calcarea stays cute & little (4” wide & 1” tall) making it the perfect lizard like addition for a container or rock garden & can even be grown as a houseplant, just be sure to provide excellent drainage. Takes moderate water during late Fall/Winter growing season, but likes to stay dry the rest of the year. Water only when the leaves begin to shrivel. Native to limestone outcroppings in South Africa, this is a rare case where a plant has developed a camouflage limestoney texture to blend in with its surroundings.
