‘Redbor’ produces vibrant, dark purple foliage October-April. Even if you do not intend to eat it, this kale will provide a great color accent in the Winter & Spring garden. Plant 12-18” apart in a well-fertilized vegetable bed or mix with ornamentals like Narcissus or Pansies. It will do well in pots where it can easily be combined with other ornamentals. As a vegetable, pick the young foliage, cut out the stems & steam or sautee the leaves. The flavor will sweeten with cold weather or frost.
