Dianthus carthusianorum
“Clusterhead Pink” 

It took us more than 10 years to find the right seed for this fantastic TALL stemmed species I had seen in a garden many years ago. A delightful crowd of strong 2-2.5’ stems are topped by brilliant pink blooms held in 2-3” clusters well above the dense mound of grassy-green foliage to 6” high & 12” across. Long blooming from Spring thru Fall (with dead-heading) & a bounty of long stemmed cut flowers. Long-lived & very tough, this species does great in coastal conditions & loves alkaline soil. Evergreen in milder zones.
