Coreopsis grandiflora ‘Sunburst’

Here at Annie’s we have a strict “No Boinky Plant” policy & unfortunately, many a perennial Coreopsis has been “boinkified” beyond recognition. However, ‘Sunburst’ meets our height & Single 2” golden flowers on wiry 2.5’ stems reach bloom for a looong season. These are great cut & benefit local wildlife if you leave them on the plant. Yay, bees! It’s rated for serious abuse too: it can deal with clay soil, deer, intense heat & drought. Ouch. Blooms early Summer through Fall if deadheaded. Plants grow 20” wide, 15” tall without the taller blooming stems. Staking is not necessary if you’re growing this plant in a sufficiently sunny spot without too much crowding.
