Sedum album ‘Nigra’
“Chubby Fingers”

To only 4” tall, this rare, black-tinged, compact & easily grown succulent is great for creating a quick groundcover or edging in rock/succulent gardens. Since it is also extremely hardy & highly drought tolerant, it also makes a super choice for roof gardens & those very cool vertical gardens we’re seeing more & more of. Spreading to 1’ across, the densely held small olivey-black “jelly bean” leaves provide both contrast & textural goodness to your design. Blooming begins in June when copious small white starry flowers appear. Provide good drainage & cut back occasionally for tidiness. Leaves that fall on the ground will easily root.
