Begonia 'Leprechaun'

Weird & cute at the same time – irresistible! A wee little Begonia with fabulous foliage, perfect as a potted plant for your door stoop, or even as a houseplant. Related to the species Begonia bowerae, B. 'Leprechaun' has the same “eyelash” edged leaves, & dwarf stature, growing just 1 foot tall & wide. Blooms in Winter, but the thumb-nail sized shell-pink flowers that appear on short stems are not the main attraction – it's the leaves that are the big draw. Each is patterned with chartreuse & copper in a very striking way. Any potting soil will do so long as you feed occasionally. Re-pot when crowded, & protect from frost!
