Fragrant, velvety deep purple - almost black - 3” wide gothic blooms pop June through July on elegant 24” stems surrounded by grey-green leaves, 1’ high. Imagine the cut flower arrangement possibilities! Beautiful in front of silvery foliaged shrubs, I’m thinking it would look lovely with Fuchsia magellanica var. molinae ‘Sharpitor’ with a sprinkling of assorted Violas in the vicinity. Rich soil.
