Aloe striata
“Coral Aloe”

Aloe striata “Coral Aloe” Aloe striata “Coral Aloe”

This easy Aloe has great Fall color! The margins of the toothless (or nearly toothless) leaves go pink when it gets cold! The rest of the year it is an easy on the eyes grey-greenish blue. The rosettes of the plant are suckering & eventually form colonies to 3’ wide, but the height remains a pretty consistent 1-2’. Bloom time is in late Winter & the flowers are borne in showy clusters on 2’ stems, in a strong & vibrant coral color. From South Africa, this species also has the distinction of not being particularly picky about where it grows, tolerating dry conditions, a regularly watered situation, full sun, part shade & whatever soil you happen to have on hand.
