Aloe krapohliana
This small, stemless Aloe from South Africa only gets to be about 6” across. The leaves are thick, blue-green & often have white striations along the leaves. It will “pup” or put out offshoots to form a small grouping. The flower spikes are thick & large in comparison to the rosette. The flowers are orange-red & bloom in winter. The plant is frost tolerant so you shouldn’t lose the blooms just when it gets cold. Native to the winter rainfall areas of South Africa, so don’t water on a hot day! It’s the easiest way to kill this aloe. It can actually survive on rainfall alone just fine. Provide good drainage.
