An absolutely spectacular, perennial native to dry areas of California & the northwestern U.S. Growing 1’-2’ tall & multi-branching, “Northern Blazing Star” bears, from June to September, showy, lemony-yellow, star-like flowers up to 6” across! The center of the flowers display a multitude of long yellow stamens. The lobed or toothed foliage is rough & silvery-green & quite pretty. Will thrive in sandy, gravelly soil. A stunning addition to well-drained, dry gardens, rock gardens & even as a container specimen. No Summer water.
