“Caucasian Cornflower”

A tough perennial ground cover with attractive silvery green foliage and heavily fringed pink flowers. EVERGREEN in zone 10, this pretty “Cornflower” hailing from the Caucasus Mountains of Europe forms a dense 4” high, spreading mat of feathery light green leaves with silvery undersides and wooly stems. Flowers all Summer, producing a succession of 12” tall flowering stems, each sporting a highly decorative 2” light pink fringed flower. Bees and butterflies are sure to be regular visitors. Plant in sun to light shade in well-drained soil. This plant adapts to a variety of soils and is drought tolerant once established. So useful for crowding out unwanted weeds!
