Allium caeruleum

Holy Moly! A true blue onion! This 1830 heirloom bears beautiful blue 1” flower clusters on 2’ stems in mid-late Spring. Deer and gopher resistant, it makes a great show, is hardy to USDA Zone 5, and is easy to grow! Reseeds and naturalizes easily, but not to the point of weediness. From Siberia, this bulb should be planted so it is deeper seated than it currently is in the pot – to a depth of 5”. Good drainage is preferred. Combines perfectly with yellow flowers!
