Eriophyllum confertiflorum
“Yellow Yarrow”

Eriophyllum confertiflorum Yellow Yarrow

LONG BLOOMING, DEER RESISTANT and extremely DROUGHT TOLERANT, this showy small shrub is native to much of California and into Arizona. To 1.5-2’ tall and wide with a handsome habit boasting lacy silvery-green leaves and wooly stems, it’s topped in Spring to August with glowing golden-yellow bloom clusters. Tolerant of no Summer water but remains evergreen and bloomier with occasional Summer water. A superb low maintenance choice for the dry garden and splendid massed or combined with native Penstemons and Eriogonums. Grow in well-drained soil of average to low fertility. Fantastic habitat plant! Cut back to 6” in Fall.
