Freesia
'Single Blue'

Freesia Single Blue Freesia Single Blue

EASY and reliable, this fabu Spring bulb produces super fragrant 2” wide flowers held on arching sprays atop 18” flower stems – fantastic for cut flowers! Highly variable – we’ve seen ‘Single Blue’ range in color from luscious lavender to hottest hot pink with either open-faced single or ridiculously ruffley double blooms – ALL are stunning. Worth it, right?? Every once in a while a semi-double form crops up that is a sumptuous pink-kissed-twilight-purple that is straight up magical! Freesias grow during the Fall and Winter, blooming in Spring before their Summer dormancy. Provide well-draining soil and average water during active growth and little to no water during dormancy. For those of you below zone 8, lift and store bulbs before frost.
