One of the most beautiful trees in the world, sporting a glorious rainbow-hued trunk! With faun-colored bark that peels back throughout the year to reveal an under-layer of lime green darkening over time to a rich red - shifting through almost every color in the rainbow inbetween! Native to humid, tropical climates where it can reach a whopping 200’ tall with a 120’ wide canopy and a trunk 6’ across, it usually tops out at about half that when grown in North America. An extremely fast grower, it can easily put on 3-5’ of height per year with adequate water. Produces inconspicuous white flowers in the Spring. Not a fragrant Eucalyptus. Avoid planting next to buildings, sidewalks, or plumbing as the roots can be aggressive. Intolerant of frost.
