Clematis Rooguchi

Outrageously long-blooming with sumptuous purple bell-shaped flowers, this rambling selection needs no special pruning to look its best year after year! Chosen for its exceptional flower color - deep purple bells with lavender-blue ruffled skirts on near-black stems - it has quickly become famous for its exceptionally long bloom period– which can extend from late Spring to early Fall!More of a rambler than a climber, it can be allowed to grow wild and free, scrambling peacefully amongst its neighbors, or it can be trained to climb a trellis or obelisk. Either way, it’s a favorite amongst butterflies, bees and hummers! Make sure to keep the roots shaded for a happy plant.
