A compact “mini” Agave with variegated leaves and rich chocolate-colored spikes! Growing to a manageable 12” wide, it produces scads of offsets to eventually create a stunning mound! Tolerant of shade, it actually seems to prefer it in hot inland areas. I’ve seen this variety planted within a loosely stacked stone wall in dappled shade where it has been growing beautifully for years and gets more impressive every time I see it. An excellent container specimen, it overwinters very nicely in colder climates. Provide well-draining soil for a happy plant.
