Book – Plants & Landscapes
For Summer-Dry Climates
My go-to book when I need some inspiration for a new planting! The utility district for the eastern portion of the San Francisco Bay Area has created a wonderful book that is useful to anyone wanting to use less water and still have a beautiful garden. The majority of the book is an extensive plant catalog of drought tolerant plants and covers much more than the typical hum-drum stuff one hears about. Many useful lists organize the plants at the end into a fast reference. This book also contains discussions on summer-dry climates and how one can design with that in mind. Beautiful photographs by the fantastic Saxon Holt make this book a treasure. The photographs inspire and really get your creative juices flowing. I like to just sit and flip through the pages and let my imagination go. A beautiful book to pour over again and again.
