About Annie’s Plants

We grow all our plants on site from seeds, plugs or our own cuttings, right here next to the San Francisco Bay. We do not use genetically modified or engineered seeds and we do not apply growth hormones or use systemic pesticides. Although we are not certified organic, we have worked to research and implement the least toxic, organic or naturally occurring alternative to manage pests and fungus. We have adopted a “bee friendly” program and do not use any Neonicotinoids associated with colony collapse disorder. We report to and are inspected by our county agricultural department weekly and are in accordance with all of their rigorous guidelines.

Our priority is to deliver outstanding customer service, and we are committed to ensuring your satisfaction! If your plants arrive damaged or fail to thrive within 30 days of receipt, we will gladly issue a gift card or refund for the original purchase price of plants. To report any order issues within the 30-day guarantee timeframe, please contact us immediately by phone at 1.888.266.4370, option 1, or via email. We strive to address your concerns as promptly as possible; however, please allow us up to 1-3 business days to thoroughly investigate and provide tailored solutions to meet your needs.

Not covered within our guarantee:
We do not offer refunds for natural variations in bloom colors, as we provide information on the most common bloom color for each species. It is important to note that some natural variation is expected within a specified range, such as flowers classified as orange-red. Plant loss due to unfavorable weather or severe temperatures during transit and/or after receipt**, delays due to an incorrect shipping address, neglect, incompatible zones, insects or animals must be your responsibility. We cannot be held liable for shipping charges or any amount greater than the purchase price of the plants in question.

** Our young plants require optimal temperatures to thrive and may struggle in extreme weather conditions. This includes temperatures below 38°F (brrr, too cold!) or above 85°F (ouch, super hot!). We recommend researching the temperature patterns in your area for the assigned shipment date by referring to a reliable weather website. Patience is crucial for successful gardening, so if the current shipment date is unsuitable for your area's temperatures, please revisit when it aligns with a more suitable time to ship plants.

Our plants are grown outside in the elements so they are strong and hardened off when you receive them. We offer plants in standard 4” pots or cell packs. Your plants will arrive securely in our custom made, exclusive packaging. Please see our Instructions here.

To see what's currently available, click on the Availability filter and choose “Available Now” from the dropdown. To further narrow your search, use the additional filter buttons and click FIND after each selection of filters.

Due to varying growing cycles, our entire plant catalog is not available year round. You can add any unavailable plant to a WISH LIST to be notified when the plant becomes available. We cannot accept orders for items that are not available at the time of ordering.

Purchasing plants does not remove the plant from your wishlist. You must manually remove the plant by logging in HERE.

Soil:

Always amend your soil when transplanting, especially when planting into clay. For succulents, a handful or two of small (<1/4") lava rock will really help improve drainage and discourage rot. It is also a good idea to mulch, with compost, around, but not touching, the plant to hold in moisture and suppress weeds.

  • No Summer Water: No summer water once established. May require average or moist conditions at other times of the year
