Probably the tallest Dianthus in the world! It’s the perfect plant for a meadow or woodland garden, this lovely carnation sends up flower stalks that can reach an EPIC THREE FEET TALL! The flowers themselves are small & pink, appearing in long-lasting clusters on grey-green stems. But the pure rustic charm of this plant cannot be overestimated, especially when planted alongside native meadow plants such as California Field Sedge and the yellow-flowering Ranunculus californicus. Provide well-drained soil for best performance. Can take regular water, but is perfectly happy in a no-water setting (once established). Be warned, this carnation is not for eating, as parts are poisonous if ingested.
