Make your friends think you’ve lost your mind! Looking rather a lot like cannabis, “False Hemp” is actually a stately & highly ornamental, large, back of border perennial or quite the intriguing accent plant! Growing 5’-8’ tall, it has a bushy habit with graceful, arching stems bearing pinnate, toothed, cannabis-y leaves. The flowers are determined by whether you have a boy or girl plant, but both make elegant, pendulous, flowering parts. Historically, yellow dye for silk was made from the roots, leaves & stems. Plant in rich soil & water like you would, um ... uh ... a vegetable.
